Black Bear Growth Rate
Black bear cubs are very small at birth. They typically weigh half a pound to a pound.
In about 5 years, they reach full maturity and they can live up to 20 years or so. Adult
are 4 to 6 feet long and weigh anywhere from 150 to 600 pounds. Males are bigger
than females.
