Brown Bear Eating Habits
Bears will feed any time throughout the day and night. Brown bears will feed on a variety
of food such as berries, grasses, roots, small animals and large animals. The Alaskan
brown bear feed heavily on salmon during the salmon spawning runs every summer.
Bears will also feed on dead animals and food found in garbage dumps. There are many
places where you can go to a garbage dump and watch the bears going through the
bags to find a meal.
