Brown Bear Tracking
Because of their size, they tend to leave many noticeable tracks.  Brown bear have much
larger tracks than black bear and you can usually find their tracks along the rivers and
shorelines of lakes.  Alaskan brown bears will leave tracks all along the rivers during the
summer salmon spawn because they are out feeding like crazy on salmon.
Here is a link to a
website that has some pictures of what brown bears tracks look like.

You can also find claw marks on trees.  These marks will show up higher on the tree than
those of black bears.   Their droppings will show you what they have been eating lately.  You
will find berries, fish scales, other fruit, grass and a variety of other foods that they have been
eating.
