Deer
Throughout North America, deer are the most popular animal to hunt. The deer population
has grown tremendously because they can adapt to a variety of habitats and hunters are
able to target them throughout most of North America. Male deer are called bucks, females
are called does and babies are called fawns. Bucks will have antlers and most bucks grow
typical racks, which are fairly symmetrical with the same number of points on each main
beam. Some types of deer are white-tailed deer, black-tailed deer and mule deer. White-
tailed deer are the most popular because they are located throughout most of the United
States and Mexico as well as a large section of Canada. There are many sub-species of
deer that exist throughout the different regions.
