Elk Eating Habits
Elk usually feed heavily early in the morning and then again in the afternoon. During the
hunting season, it is common for elk to feed at night. Elk feed on a variety of plants and
grasses such as wheat grass, blue grass, willow, elk weed, elk sedge and many more.
When these types of plants die out in the winter, elk will feed on shrubs and trees.
